How to play Dominoes

Try Dominoes at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Empty your hand, or hold fewer pips when both players are blocked. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Make your first input carefully and watch the result. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.

Double-six draw dominoes, local two players with shared-screen visible hands.

A useful comparison

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Make the next step deliberately.

Your goal

Empty your hand, or hold fewer pips when both players are blocked. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Keep the controls in easy reach.

Step by step

  1. Play a tile matching either open chain end.
  2. Choose which end to use.
  3. Draw only when no tile fits.
  4. Pass only with no legal tile and an empty stock.

Controls

Click or tap a piece and destination; use the turn indicator and legal-move feedback. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Check any mode label before starting.

A useful example

An open 4 accepts 4–2, leaving 2 open. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Verify the rule before continuing.

Watch out for this

You cannot ignore a legal match to draw. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
